I was made bankrupt in August, I am off sick from work at the moment, but when I return I fear my hours will be reduced or a medical retirement.
I think with my reduced hours my take-home pay will be £1738.45 with NT tax code.
The budget sheet I have done comes to £1742.92 Does anyone think an IPA will be set ?

    Hi,
    No IPA on those figures.
You need at least a £20 surplus in order for an IPA to be concidered.
They may only take a portion of the lump sum, it depends on the circumstances, and if it forms part of a pension or not.

This is correct. The Insolvency Service has changed collection agents.
  • In any case, I would still be asking for something in writing, and not paying another company on the back of just a phone call.

Fine, but while you're waiting for this don't spend the IPA contribution as you'll have to settle any arrears.

That goes without saying. If I got a phone call off a company I had never dealt with before demanding money, I would certainly be asking for something in writing.
