Urgent help! Halifax mortgage offer extension

Hi all,
First time poster. I am selling to a FTB who is a contractor and has a mortgage from Halifax. 90% LTV.
Her offer is close to expiring - 30th of September. My solicitor has one outstanding enquiry to respond to but is taking forever as he's waiting an indemnity policy.
Not sure when this will arrive but given release of mortgage funds can take (officially) 5 working days; though my solicitors have said it should be OK to get the funds within 2 working days...should my buyer be considering applying for extension of her mortgage offer just to finish off completion?
And what is the likelihood of her getting an extension...even if it's only for a week or so?
(Originally got the mortgage offer in Feb 2020 and was automatically extended to end of September)
Please help as I'm becoming increasingly stressed lost!
TIA

it tells you how Halifax works. There is no extension system. The valuation is refreshed automatically after six months and a new product can be selected and a new offer issued immediately when the drawdown deadline approaches. The offer then takes on the new product's drawdown deadline ie 31/03/2021 or 30/06/2021 on current deals.I am a mortgage broker.
