Hi there, new to the forum so be nice
im hoping for some help in relation to settling a previous EE debt that’s been sold to a DCA. I’ve seen other threads but couldn’t find an answer to my query.

im hoping for some help in relation to settling a previous EE debt that’s been sold to a DCA. I’ve seen other threads but couldn’t find an answer to my query.
I had a debt of £551 which has been sold to the DCA recently. I’ve been in contact with them and offered £250 to close the account which they’ve accepted (could have went lower I guess). They said this would show as partially settled on credit file.
I questioned this and requested that it showed full settlement. I explained that I’ve had numerous problems with EE and Zinc in the past trying to pay the bill and filed complaints but had no response.
After listening to this the DCA have agreed to reduce the debt to £250 and therefore it will show as fully satisfied. I’m obviously happy with this resolution but wondering if there’s anything else I should be aware of or requesting?
Many thanks

Hi,I`ve moved your post from the diary section to dfw.The debt will show as partially settled. It cannot be marked fully settled unless you settle the debt in full.If they do as they say I will be amazed, as debt collectors say all sorts over the phone, which never seems to translate into actions in real life.Good luck, hope they do as they say they will.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
