Lidl bargain shop in glasgow

There is a lidl bargain shop, called Bargainbase on Shiskine Drive in Glasgow. Its just off Maryhill rd (G20 0JD).

I was in today, basically it sells all the special offers that lidl have on - you know, some weeks they have art supplies other weeks horse stuff etc.

Well all there clothes and shoes were £1 - they had loads of sandals and trainer (no brand names) for men, women and kids. Also loads of wellies for kids. I got a two piece rain suit for my two year old for £1 - similar waterproofs are selling for about a £10 on ebay. Also got a running top and trousers, really good material the stuff that drys really quickly and absorbs sweat (coolmax).

Also had loads of other stuff, lights, lamps, kitchen stuff, bathroom towels, toys, exercise things - too much to mention. Spoke to one of the staff members, he said that they get stuff in and sell it 25% cheaper than it was selling in Lidl. Then after a few weeks they make it 50% off and then 75% after a while!

It is however, a complete jumble sale, so be prepared to rake !!!!

Sorry to say that the Lidl Bargain Base closes its doors on Sunday, 14th September. It is reopening sometime soon as a regular Lidl store.

We spoke to the woman that was on the day we were in and she said it is moving up to inverness but I wouldn't be 100% sure on that. So any inversnekians (don't mind the spelling) popping in to read this keep an eye out for the new lidl bargain base!! Actually might just pop a new thread on!!
