Why do the working hours make it such a hard decision? They are very different and either one pattern suits you far better, or it doesn't matter to you, in which case there's no need to take the hours into account.

If it's too good to turn down, why are you hesitating? If you've only been with your current employer for 6 years, surely the redundancy package isn't so overwhelmingly good that you'd turn down this 'too good to turn down' offer?

It's hard to follow your logic, or work out what really matters to you.
