Hi all
sorry about another post about a position me and my partner find our selfs in.
a lot of my posts have been about are completion and the changes in covid so hopefully you don’t mind another question and really appreciate your help.
we both work in a stadium and with the dates of crowds now been put back And furlough ending in October we find our selfs in a worrying position.
my main question is will hsbc be going through every offer now to see if people occupations like ours can be efffected by the new message from the government. We are hoping they are to busy to check everyone over again.
we were meant to complete this Friday but now the seller has to put it back a week due to thier chain awaiting some paperwork.

They can do it and have done so in the past but only for high profile redundancies. The last one i heard of was a mass search for anyone working for that travel company who went under recently (cant remember their name)
You arent being made redundant and havent been told you are going to be made redundant so they have no reason to change their lending decision0 -
On the basis of todays news, and furlough ending in October, it raises an obvious question here: are you actually going to be in a position to realisticly pay for the mortgage come November, and is it wise to continue the lending process?3

Rather than worrying about the lender. Think through the potential consequences yourselves.2

Thanks for the replies so far, the mortgage is actually a lot cheaper than our current rent.I am not worried about repayments one little bit as finding another job if I had to would not be a problem.
any experience on banks doing !!!!!! searches like the first reply said helped a lot.0 -
Sorry not sure why !!!!! We’re in the last post?0

Banks have been known to run another credit search just prior to completion, so its not beyond the realms of possibility they may look at other things as well, especially at the moment when they are being more cautious.0
