I need to attach the computation my accountant sent to me for CGT self assessment, but after trying, I still cannot do it. Copy and paste into the box provided does not work. Thanks.

Thank you. It seems, I needed to go back to the previous page to do this, and I have now converted the excel spreadsheet to a PDF, which is required, and managed to download it. Or I think I have. My problem now is, I cannot open it to check that I have downloaded it correctly. And if I cannot open it, how can they? The title of my PDF seems correct and it says the file size is 0.11MB. Normally if I am attaching anything to, for example, an email, I open it before sending just to check.0

You will be contacted if there is an attachment that they can see is there but can't open. I think everything is ok.
Have you given them the feedback that Cut and Paste does not work? The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
Thanks TP12. No I haven't informed them, They know already because the note says a PDF V1 is the only format allowed. I am not sure what the V1 means but I did manage to convert the excel spreadsheet that my accountant sent me to a PDF. It only took me 3 days, so, clearly, I am improving. Once converted, I downloaded it and the note said I had completed the task. It was then that I thought to open it just to make sure I had not sent them a picture of a group family wedding or some such thing, and found I could not open it.0

Have you tried tax return options - view your return? Way back when I was involved in SA with HMRC there was a reason why ‘copy and paste’ was prohibited (not - it failed to work, but prohibited). The reason was perfectly sound at the time - I just can’t remember why!1
