I have started picking up worl from ana gent who books acts (music)
I have to give him bank details for payment
He also wants my NI number
I invoice him, he pays my fee
Why would he want my NI number, and should I give it to him (he will then have a lot of my personal details) ?

why not ask him? he maybe asking for your NI as proof that you have the right to work in the UK, even on a self employed basis.0
