Offset mortgage help

We currently have a £140K mortgage split between £63K on endowment and the rest on repayment.
We have £20K sitting in an A+L savings account that doesn't earn us an awful lot of money.
Would this £20K make a good difference to our mortgage if we went for an offset ?
We rarely have any money left from our salaries,so the £20K would be 'it' I'm afraid.

I personally think that you could get better deals with other tracker/dicounted rates, although having said that Clydesdale have just come out with a good rate that is offset also - I have a couple of clients looking at these alreadyI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
