    I still bet it would have been illegal. But it's a bit like cutting down a tree that's protected. Once it's cut down, you might get a fine, but they can't put it back up again.

    I am not going to say which airport - I live in a very small place! There were people came to use especially trained in such matters, so it obviously is not an isolated incident.

    According to the RSPB website its legal...

    Awwwww that's awful, so sad :(

    Unfortunately there is some special ruling about birds and airports because of the damage they can cause to aircraft when sucked into the engines. They do try to discourage birds nesting in the area and have the power to remove them if they do :(
