How much longer do I have to wait for a mortgage to be approved or denied?

So we had our AIP on the 5th of this month. We found our dream home on the 6th and put our full application in on the 7th this was done by our broker. So every other day I have been asking for updates. As of the 15th we were told by our adviser that she can see it is in a qué for the underwriters. Our valuation was booked in for the 17th which we now have passed. We haven't had any updates on how the valuation went or if it's now being processed. Does anyone have experience with accord mortgages. I'm really worried it won't go through not for any particular reason just to add. Does anyone know accord mortgage process? Have we at this stage passed any hurdles? At what stage are they most likely to refuse you?
Many thanks

I had to check the date on my phone !
Are you really getting into a panic 12 days after you applied for a mortgage ?
You do understand it could take you 3/4/5 months before you get the keys to your dream home.

  • I know. It would be our first home if we are approved. We are just an anxious mess 🤣. I would really just like to know what the stages are with accord.
  • I applied for our mortgage on 31st July and the offer came through on 15th September. It was a fairly straightforward application and it still took longer than we expected. But we are getting ready to exchange and complete soon so things move along. Our chain was complete so we continued on with our Conveyancing process whilst waiting.
Try to relax. It can be a long process
