Where do you get your face masks from?

I got mine from maskbros.co.uk. as advertised on TV. About £13 for 50 (disposable).
Perfectly satisfied with them.I can't imagine a life without cheese. (Nigel Slater)0 -
I wouldnt bother. They dont stop viruses.peter021072 said:Hi there
Where do you guys get your face masks from? Do Tesco or Aldi sell any IN THE SHOP rather than on line? I think Aldi has sold out but it's difficult to tell.
I ordered a set of decent cotton ones from Amazon 3 weeks ago, but the seller (presumably from abroad) just tells me they are held up at customs or the airport and are now 2 weeks late. However he keeps wanting me to hang on and be patient.
The last time I ordered PPE back in March the order never arrived, 'probably stolen' so I don't trust these sellers.1 -
No, they don't STOP viruses, but they reduce the droplets which carry them. Excerpt from the GOV.UK website:
Coronavirus (COVID-19) usually spreads by droplets from coughs, sneezes and speaking. These droplets can also be picked up from surfaces, if you touch a surface and then your face without washing your hands first. This is why social distancing, regular hand hygiene, and covering coughs and sneezes is so important in controlling the spread of the virus.
The best available scientific evidence is that, when used correctly, wearing a face covering may reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets in certain circumstances, helping to protect others.

The general view is that masks considerably reduce outgoing infections but are less effective for stopping incoming infections. So they are good for reducing infection spreading if most people bother to use them.QuackQuackOops said:

That said, well fitted, fine threaded, multi-layered cloth masks do provide good filtration efficiencies.

I buy from different places depending on what kind of results I want.
- If my skin is congested I like Nip & Fab's Glycolic Mask (I buy from Boots in store & online - it's pretty cheap).
- If I just want exfoliation I get the AHA / BHA Peeling Solution from The Ordinary - Would usually buy from an online beauty retailer like Look Fantastic or Feel Unique, whichever has a discount on.
- Brightness I'd go for a Vitamin C mask. Either Boots or Feel Unique (both loyalty programmes are good and they're always having sales)
- Anti-Ageing I'd choose a more expensive retinol sheet mask like Eve Lom or Sarah Chapman (Space NK - they have a decent loyalty programme)
Hope that helps! Sorry if it's not what you were asking. I am just a skincare addict and love sharing tips haha0 -

we are talking face-covering masks. If you actually read the thread you would have realized this.
