I love a bargain and would have done the same....wouldn’t be able to help myself 😊. I have a recipe in a book which is not much good so found this. rhubarb gin or vodka is delightful and is still possible to make Intime for the festivities, though the recipes i've tried , have needed extra spirit, as i found them too sweet. as a side note blackberry brandy is very good , and it uses up nicely that cheap bottle of brandy at the back of the cupboard. also add a couple of caps full to any gin to turn pink (my rhubarb had only green stalks).
