Mortgage application before deposit ready

Hi,

Can I make a mortgage application before my deposit is ready? Wondering whether to wait till my next pay ( end of Sept) or if I can apply now?
I have had an offer accepted on a house.

    Your vendor will expect progress.  The deposit isn't going to be required for a while yet.

    Some lenders do request proof of deposit prior at the application stage, others do not. 
    One of those things to check before submitting an application.

    don't forget solicitors fees, moving costs, SDLT if applicable e.t.c
