Separated and starting mortgage process...

So I separated from my ex last year and have started house hunting. I've been living with parents for the last year so not paying bills etc. I'm trying to get my head around where to start with getting myself a mortgage in principle so I can start making offers....I've read some of the MSE documents but don't really know where to go first. Have done a credit score on the Experian link which came out as good, but where do I need to go next? Obviously can't go to a bank face to face at the moment so where can I turn for some personalised advice? TIA!

A mortgage broker, so they can see which lender would be suitable for your situation.
If you do not know any, have a read through the posts on MSE as several brokers comment.
You can approach the broker, they cannot message you first.
Perhaps a chat with @haras_n0sirrah @ACG may be a starting point?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
