Marriage Tax Allowance - Circumstances Changing

in Cutting tax
I am retired and my wife works part time, I claim Marriage Tax Allowance because her earnings are below the tax threshold. In October however my wife will be taking a 12 month unpaid career break due to the effect that Corona Virus has had on our Family circumstances, My Wife is classed as very vulnerable and we have a disabled adult daughter who she cares for. Will I need to contact HMRC and cancel our entitlement to the Marriage Tax Allowance?

Why on earth do you think that changes anything?
I suspect you are inventing rules that don't exist.
And you cannot "claim" Marriage Allowance.1 -
Your wife's earnings are going down, not up, so she doesn't need to do anything, and nor do you..1
