i made a complaint as a guarantor to Amigo and had this email and just need to know where do I stand now as the guarantor “ Amigo is prepared to offer you redress in respect of the loan agreement shown in the appendix. The redress will consist of:

1. The removal of your liability for the loan agreement;
2. The removal of any information from your credit file in respect of the loan agreement

Does this now mean I’m not responsible now for making the payments as my friend stopped paying so I had to

The email was a bit confusing as when my friend signed up for the first loan then topped up so I assume I’m not a guarantor on both loans?

The email will give the reference of the loan.

Yes I had to make payments because my friend stopped paying, the email from Amigo was sent on the 25th August but I set up an email address just for Amigo emails but hadn’t checked it for about a month so lost out on the refund.

Why did you lose out on the refunds?
Who sets up a specific e-mail for important things then 'forgets' to check it?

Amigo hardly emailed me, I hadn’t checked the email for 3 weeks

Amigo have decided to give me the refund after all
