You still haven’t said what your living situation is. Aside from the possibility being sanctioned for leaving a job without good cause (what has your GP said about you continuing to work? What had your employer said about your health issues?) you may not be eligible for UC.
Do you live alone? With someone? What is their relationship to you? Do you have savings? All this could affect your eligibility.
    HI
I live with my wife and my 16 years old daughter ,in my job just i do the as cashier and don't do anything more because of my problems ,my GP and employer know about my situation and position ,because I had surgery for my back and also three times treatment for my heart ,but I don't have any prospect of job center what happen if I resign, my big problem is distance  ,I am grateful for your reply, also today I have chat with my manager he told me I can be off from my job without payment for one year and find a job near  my house ,please tell me if I use this I have to tell HMRC or no .

I would suggest posting your query on the benefits board about UC. Does your wife work? Do you get any other benefits (such as housing benefit) or tax credits as giving up your job and a UC claim will have implications for these.
Is your manager suggesting you take unpaid leave for up to a year? The DWP would be expecting you to look for other jobs with other companies rather than claiming and waiting to see if your current employer comes up with something closer.
However you need to be careful about your reasons for resigning if that is what you choose to do. Not being able to do the job because of your health is completely different (in benefit terms) to giving it up because you don't want to travel that far.  Again, the people on the benefits board will be able to advise further because if you are deemed to have given up a job without good enough reason that's where there is the possibility of being sanctioned comes in.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Who do you mean when you say you have talked to your manager?

The reason I ask is that I would suggest that you ask your manager if you can talk to Waitrose/JL Human Resources department and explain your circumstances to them, and ask again if you can be relocated somewhere closer to home.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
