Paying child maintenance and applying for a mortgage

Has anyone any experience of applying for a mortgage while paying ex child maintenance. I believe this will result in any mortgage offer being a lot lower and was wondering if anyone has any tips on a way around this?

No idea what you mean. Your disposible income is obviously less, and any offer would factor that in. There's no way 'around' that.0

Remember your home is at risk if you do not keep up the payments (or other property like cars etc), having children may reduce your affordability as do other factors.Weetod said:Has anyone any experience of applying for a mortgage while paying ex child maintenance.
