oven tray cleaning

Not sure if this fits on this board.
I am looking to clean off baked-on grease - really quite a thick layer but it is not burnt to charcoal, it looks like a thick coat of varnish.
The tray has a non stick coating too. I have tried acetone and petrol these had no effect at all. It might be different if I dipped it for a few hours in petrol or acetone but I don't fancy doing that, maybe petrol, but acetone is too expensive to waste.
What would work ? and will it harm the non stick?
Thanks

Whatever you are going to use will no doubt wreck the non stick
For cooking grease you need soap and hot water and unfortunately a lot of elbow grease
Soak over night in a soapy solution of bio washing powder
I gave up on non stick trays years ago. I now use enamel trays, Ive had the same two for over 30 years and both look as new. I use a sheet of non stick parchment ( use the same piece time and time again ) and the trays get scrubbed regularly with the stainless steel scourers1
