Hard Search on credit report

I was about to purchase a property, but the vendor pulled out but only after I submitted my mortgage application. My mortgage offer was yet to be accepted or refused but I now have the record of a hard search on my credit report.
will this have a massive impact when I apply for a new mortgage in the future? Or, could I just ask my broker to change the address on the mortgage application once I find a new property?
