Car insurance while bankrupt

I was going to stay with my current insurance company but the price has gone up loads.
I've got the money to pay upfront for the year which I thought would mean I dodnt have to be credit checked.
I got all the way to paying when it says please note you are agreeing you have never been bankrupt. Insurance is invalid if you make a false declaration. Theres no where asking me if I am bankrupt on the quote form.
Anyone know how I can sort my car insurance?
Thank you

I never had a problem paying for the year..check the assumptions on the comparison sites.
I was with Aviva no problem0 -
Thats odd. I was never asked any question about bankrupcy when I have bought car insurance, and I also pay it up front.
Really dont see the issue if you pay it up front, are you sure the bit you are reading is for monthly customers only?0 -
You always need to read the assumptions bankruptcy is sometimes in there.0

Many insurers put that within their small print. I suppose there is a greater risk of insurance fraud with bankrupt customers. It would be best to phone them, before ticking that final box accepting that you have never been bankrupt when you have. Non-disclosure will certainly mean they won’t pay out to the policy holder in the event of a claim.0

Home insurance tends to be much more of a problem...they ask if anyone in the household has ever been BR
.regardless of how you pay.
I found it best just to declare it0 -

Its Tesco car insurance, there isn't anywhere to tick or select you have been bankrupt, I wasnt asked, but at the bottom it says "by proceeding to checkout you are confirming you have never been bankrupt and have no outstanding CCJs." There is nothing saying what do do if you cant agree to that or to tell them otherwisePreparing to go bankrupt April 20200
