Company never responded and now has passed debt to a debt collector

Heys guys, so I need some advice as to what I can do regarding a debt I have with Simply Be.
We ordered some gifts over the Christmas period but they never arrived (despite them saying the delivery was attempted). After complaining we were sent the products again but some were missing from our order. So after another phone call, they finally sent the products that we ordered...Everything was fine. Until I checked the balances.
We had been charged for the transactions, they then refunded and charged us again. The refunds they gave us before were then reversed and it all got massively confusing, to say the least. I strongly believe that their mishaps threw us over the credit limit (which we obviously got charged for) and then a credit charge every month from Feb onwards.
Due to work constraints and wanting everything written down, I have been trying to email and write to them to discuss the matter and for them to have a look into it. We are more prepared to pay for the goods we have but wanted them to remove the additional charges. We have had no response from any of our communication until a week ago when they said they no longer have this debt as it has gone to a debt collector.
I want to write another letter but unsure as to whom to write it to or whether in fact, I should just accept what has happened and just arrange to make payments.

If you have an unresolved complaint insist the original creditor deals with it.Simplybe will have passed the account to a collection company, but still likely own the debt.Put everything in writing, mark your letter "COMPLAINT" send it off to them. They then have 8 weeks to issue a final responce to you, if you remain unhappy, escalate the matter to the financial ombudsman, never just accept what has happened if your not satisfied.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
