Is mystery shopping worth it? Best Mystery shopper companies?

Considering it seeing alot of different agencies doing it and curious to know from experienced Mystery shoppers which ones are the best and is the effort worth the reward? Also as i dont drive i feel it might not be worth doing since most the jobs i see are pretty far. Thanks

Hi.  I have done it before.  As an example.... You go to SUBWAY (sandwich bar) or some other place.  You get £3 fee and the sandwich for free obviously.  For the £3 you have to get to the outlet, take a picture of the store.  Remember what music was playing instore, the servers name, what order the salad items were placed on the sandwich, and a few more things.  Go home, type all this into a form on-line.  BORING and well underpaid.  It's explotation.  Now you will no douby getting people coming on here saying they get flew to Spain to conduct MS surveys all for free.  I would rule it out.

I've done a few years ago which were fun and made enough money to justify it, but it was slim pickings even then. I can't imagine there are many businesses paying big money for market research when they are struggling to survive.
I used to look for them when I was going to be somewhere with nothing to do, it was rarely worth travelling for them.
I couldn't tell you what were the best agencies now as they change all the time, if they need people then they offer more but then when everyone switches to them they tend to dry up.
