NHS Dentist

Before lockdown I had a filling that broke and fell out. New filling fell out after about 3 weeks.
I went back to the practice and saw a different dentist just before lockdown who put in a temporary filling and advised it needed more drilling.
When I saw the first dentist I mentioned I was having some pain on the other side, he never examined the teeth, nor did he perform an X-ray. He referred to 2 year old xrays on file and said other side looked fine based on those xrays. 2nd dentist it was just before lockdown so was no chance she wouldn’t do anything other than the temporary filling.
My practice is still not ready to do drilling. The temporary filling has fallen out, i’m getting pain from The other side now from a crown. Was triaged by a 3rd dentist at my practice that said, nothing we can do, your xrays on file look fine.

Is this a thing? This is 2 dentists now who have referred to old xrays. The xrays she was looking at must have been so old she kept talking about my crown on upper left, when I’m having problems with a newer crown on lower right.
I managed to go in today, saw the dentist that triaged me. She took one look at the tooth with the missing filling and said she could only put in another temporary filling. She did not attempt to look at any of my other teeth or mention an X-ray even though I said I’ve got pain on the other side.
i know there might not have been loads she can do at this time but finding it weird that 2 dentists have paid a complete disinterest in what I’ve said and are happy to use old xrays. Just wondering if this is normal, never experienced this before. My teeth are pants, I go to the dentist every 6 months and regularly need some sort of work!
