Supply teacher - saving for retirement

I am looking for advice on pensions for supply teachers. From 2006-2018 I was employed my a school and paid into the Teacher Pension Scheme. Since having my second child I started supply teaching (through an agency). The agencies I work for use the NEST pension scheme but unfortunately I do not qualify for employer contributions as I do not earn the minimum weekly requirement. I am only working 2 days due to having 2 young children. Should I set up NEST and just make voluntary contributions or set up lifetime ISA? Or something else? I haven’t paid into a pension since 2018. Thanks

You could join the workplace scheme if you wished (see above) but there seems little point without an employer contribution.
You could set up your own personal pension.
Example

Let's suppose you earn £9000 a year.
You could make a net contribution of up to £7,200 per tax year to the pension and receive tax relief of up to £1800.0
