Mortgage Deed

Good morning, this is my first post on the forum. I’ve been in the process of buying my first property (a new build) for months now and I am finally within touching distance of exchanging.
My solicitor has my signed mortgage deed which I sent to them weeks ago now.
As many months have gone by, the expiry date of my mortgage offer was looming, so the lender kindly extended this for me. Due to this, they have now sent me a new mortgage deed to sign (with different reference number on it). As I was hoping to exchange this week, things would be delayed further if I waited for the new mortgage deed to be sent to me for signing and then send back to my solicitor.
So my question is if my original signed deed is still valid?
TIA

It probably is (assuming the only difference is the reference number). But it's a discussion you really need to have with your solicitor, and if they've bothered to send you a new deed that may suggest they think they need to get it signed. They only need it for completion rather than exchange anyway (unless that's happening simultaneously?).0

There’s going to be about a week between exchange and completion.0
