Credit Report and Electoral roll address issue

I am about to apply for a mortgage (via a broker) and I am registered with Equifax and Crediva perfectly fine. My lender uses Equifax, Call Credit and Experian.

My credit report with Experian and Transunion have me registered on the electoral roll at the correct address but there is no house number so it thinks it is incorrect. Will this cause an issue? Obviously, if they use Equifax, there won’t be an issue, but what if they use all three and, will the fact it is okay on Equifax mean that they are happy?

Should I add a notice of correction to my Experian and transunion credit reports?

Other than the above, my credit reports are very clean.

I had same issue and after a whole load of stress attempting to sort it, we got our mortgage offer no problem 👍🏻
i would advise against notice of correction as that may become more of an issue.
I contacted local council, got them to update address on their system and they sent me a letter stating the correct address and how long we have been registered in electoral roll, but that it couldn’t be updated to credit agencies until feb 2021 as currently in canvass.
I sent this letter to my broker who included it with mortgage application.
    Good luck

Yes, I’m my Experian score is 983, so the address issue has cost me 12 points. My understanding that the credit score is not really relevant, the lender will look at the report, which will show an address I am registered to vote at, minus the number ‘1’.

i will mention this (again) to my broker tomorrow morning.

  • Equifax is fine. No issue with the electoral roll there, says I’ve been registered since 2010. My lender, West Brom Building Society use Equifax (which is fine), but also use Experian and Call Credit/TransUnion where the difference is.

TransUnion was missing my electoral register info (council uses a slightly different address to Royal Mail). I sent them the email from the council confirming I'm still on the register and they sorted it pretty quickly. I didn't have to correct it on Experian but they were quick to fix another address related issue. Neither added a Notice of Correction. Don't add a Notice of Correction! Be glad Equifax have it right - they're a nightmare.

You do know your score is only seen by you, your history is whats important.

Yes, I was asked if it affected my credit score, so was just answering the question.

I’m sure I’ll hear back from my mortgage adviser today on this issue.
