Platform Mortgage - 85%

Hi all!
Hope you are having a nice weekend.
Has anyone had any experience applying for a Platform 85% mortgage?
How long have they taken since application to send you an offer?
An independent valuation was done by the vendor on the house 6 months ago and came back £30k less than our offer price (We also got a £15k reduction from their asking price) - what is your experience with their valuation's?
Do you find they under or over value or accept the price you paid?
Thanks so much in advance

If you have options other than Platform I would take them. Although Platforms rates are good, their general service is terrible at every stage of the process. And that's post offer too.
Their turnaround times will be very slow as they were recently doing 90 percent.
My valuation was by AVM with platform and was shockingly wrong (as in 100k out). Luckily I had the LTV to accommodate. In any case if a valuation by a human is done it will be by a valuation company platform use which may well be the same organisation as other lenders.

We put our application in 8th of July. Valuation only happened on 28th August so hoping to get the offer next week. We upgraded to the home buyers report and it was done through countrywide - the delay was on their end rather than Platforms but things in general have been moving slowly.
Our valuation came back at offer price. The valuation is independent so platform will outsource this to a local surveyor as would any lender.
No problems so far - just slow.1 -
Spoke to our mortgage advisor this week (from Mortgage Matters Direct), he said they are extremely slow too, can't tell you if it's true.0

Platform are terrible at the minute.
We wont be using them until they get their service back in order. They are fussy at the best of times but combine that with being slow and other than rates there is no reason to use them. I would rather pay a few quid more each month personally.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
