Money shop/CRS

Hi all,
I wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar to me.
I recently visited my mums house for the first time in probably nearly a year due to the virus and found stacks of mail from Credit Resource Solutions saying I owe £219 for an old money shop loan. The loan is from 2012 i think, my last payment was in mid 2016 but then I received a large refund from the money shop that same year which my outstanding balance was deducted from before it was paid to me.
I haven't spoken to CRS yet. I'm trying to get in touch with the FOS to see if they had ruled on this however, I dont think they did though. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has had anything like this happen to them? I had the exact same thing happen regarding lending stream, DCA chased for loans I knew were closed but luckily I had the ruling from the FOS stating lending stream are to deduct the loan balances from the redress and pay me the remainder. I passed this on to the DCA and that was the last I heard from them. Funnily though I never had any replies from lending stream.
The lending stream issue took months to resolve and I'm loathe to go through it again but will if I have to.
Cheers all, sorry if it was a bit of a ramble.

It’s quite common for refunded loan accounts to still be sold on.
This is because they are sold in bulk, so some slip through the cracks, write and tell CRS the debts status, provide copies of your evidence.
If they still persist, raise a complaint.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
