Accord - Experience and Timescales

Morning,
My partner and I are currently in the process of getting a mortgage from Accord and wondered what experiences people have had with them. We started our application with them 5 days ago. Our process so far:
  • DIP referred
  • Questions asked
  • DIP approved before questions answered
  • Answers sent back to them
  • Answers satisfied within 10 minutes and moved to conveyancing stages
  • Valuation being scheduled in
We can't believe how quickly this is moving forward and considering we thought we'd have to go with someone like Kensington due to our credit history we can't believe what is going on! We know we still could be declined.

What are your experiences with Accord?

Comments

  • Have you got any further forward with them? Have they offered yet? We put our application in on the 7th Sept and our valuation was completed on Saturday (12th)?
  • Accord are really good if you get all the requested docs in quickly. I have a few applications in with them at the moment and the biggest delays have been with booking in the valuation but this is dependant on the valuer availability rather than the lender.

We had our valuation done on Thursday but they turned up with no appointment, luckily somebody was there 🙊 they showed them around but needed to get the docs in, they went in on Friday and the valuation satisfied on Tuesday. We are now just waiting for the final bits, they have said they were working valuations from the 10th yesterday, so we are hoping for the end of the week/early next week. They have been so swift with everything!
