Should I avoid to request credit report too frequent?

I settled my car finance on 21/08/2020, but the credit file is not updated yet. I signed up and checked with Equifax, Experian and Checkmyfile 3 times this week.

I am just wondering if I am planning to submit mortgage application next month or after next month, should I avoid to request credit report too frequent?

Do it as many times as you like, it has no impact on your score and lenders can't see it.  It's completely normal I would suggest for would-be borrowers to frequently view this when contemplating a major loan.

Maybe weeks not days before your file is updated.
  • i check my mine all the time
its private to you so it makes no difference
they do all update at different times though
  • Mortgages are lot more of a manual process than an automated decision on a credit card or loan application.

When I first bought my house and went through the process having recently paid off a credit card debt, but my file had not updated. The advisor asked why I had not declared debt of x on credit card and I told them it was cleared last month, nothing more said on the matter.

Credit reports are updated monthly ish
