Does anyone know if Cash for clothes places operate ATM, please? I did a car boot and was left with several bags of clothes that are probably not good enough for a charity shop. thanks

  • East Midlands, open here.  I took some a couple of weeks ago.  Got another couple of bags to go soon.

Won't make me rich but better than a slap round the face with a wet haddock. 😂

That is good news. I know there is one in High Wycombe but I could not contact them, I guess I'll just have to go and see.

Yes, but at the moment the local ones are not even taking in donations as they are swamped.

I take it you mean the chazzers? Places that buy rags are unlikely to refuse donations, but then they pay a pittance for what is donated back so you may not even get your petrol money back.

Why don't you donate to a homeless shelter / stick it on Freecycle instead?

So much to read, so little time.

An update in case it helps anyone. The  High Wycombe C4C was open today so I managed to offload several bags at 50p a kilo.
They examined each items individually and were very picky and rejected many items which to my eyes had nothing wrong with them.

That seems a lot of faff & effort for a small reward.
I had some stuff that wasn't good enough to donate to a charity shop.
I bagged it and left it with my recycle bin - as per my council's instructions - they accept textiles & shoes in a clear plastic bag.
When they came to empty my bin, they took the bag into the cabin.
