35k joint debt between myself and partner. We want to buy a house in the future so would like to know best option for clearing debt.

    You'd be better posting a statement of affairs on the debt-free wannabe board and saying 'what should i do?'

    A bit tongue in cheek but wonder if 6 years on one of the Costas might be a nice alternative to worrying all the time. Or 5 years if you are from north of the border.

    Don't see debt charities suggesting this as an alternative. 
    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
    • "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
