Betharooni said:Hi
Hope you are all OK. I joined in this challenge earlier in the year, but stopped as I was not using much due to lockdown. I’ve just been lurking for the last couple of weeks but I’ll be joining in properly from the 1st and am going through my stuff today and finalising my PP list for October and my 7 by Xmas list.
I saw the attached on Facebook and thought it may be of interest to people on this page https://boots.scan2recycle.com/terms-and-conditions/ - some non-recycleable beauty and healthcare packaging can be taken into selected Boots stores for recycling and you can get 500 Advantage card points for 5 items per day. I’ll post this link on the October page when it’s started too.
B xThanks for that. Not exactly handy for people in the north though which speaks volumes.eta - I'm criticising Boots not you Betharooni.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

No worries @dolly84, on the zero waste page on Facebook that it came up on, a lot of people in the north, Scotland and Northern Ireland were saying about it only really catering for the south of England, so I think a lot of people share your frustration. Not sure where you all are so thought I’d post in case it’s helpful for some.

One out used up The Ordinary Buffet, didn’t see any real benefits from using this. Maybe I’m missing something as people rave about it4
-
Two out used up, wouldn’t buy, Ernolaszio skin supplement lotion and First Aid Kit facial wipes, both came in sub boxes3

UU - Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream This was a GWP, it was nice but unlikely to buy again. I'm very indifferent about eye creams in general.
Kiehl's Creme De Corps Body Lotion Sample - Nice enough and not sticky. Didn't make me feel like to go out and buy the full size though. Feels like a bit overpriced for what it is but I prefer a body butter rather than lotions.
Sold two products on eBay and included a sample with each parcel. Never thought selling a tube La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo sitting idle in the cupboard would be possible. Also sold a Clarins cleanser (Pure Melting Cleansing Gel) which appears to be discontinued and loved by many people.

The Lactic Acid seems to be the gift the keeps on giving. Will consider it done for this challenge once October rolls in but the other items will be carried over.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

My updated lists. I will be ending the month like this. I am in no hurry to finish the Beauty Balm and will carry that over, I have about 5 or 6 uses maybe left in the body lotion so will carry that into next month too.
