Charged twice for Company Car Benefit

Hi there,
HMRC have charged me twice from a tax perspective for my 19/20 company car benefit.
I had declared my car benefit at the beginning of the 19/20 tax year and as such have been paying through my monthly PAYE deductions for the tax year. Then now my employer has submitted my P11D for the 19/20 tax year HMRC have now adjusted my 20/21 tax code for the full taxable benefit of the 19/20 company car benefit (based on the full P11D taxable benefit). This has resulted in my most PAYE payment on this months payslip been c.£600 too much (higher rate taxpayer and high value vehicle driven as company car) as they are collecting this over the remainder of the tax year.
I have struggled to get through to HMRC due to workload and been on hold but will persist tomorrow to speak with them and I have no doubts they will be able to see the error and sort it but my question is (and because I have been on furlough I have had much reduced income now for months so I really could do with the money back) will I have to wait for my next payslip date for this to be resolved/ reversed or would HMRC be able to issue a cheque/ payment to my bank for the overpayment of PAYE I have made within this month
Thanks

Any adjustment due will be taken into account in your next payslip.
That is assuming a revised tax code is issued on a cumulative basis.
But is very unusual for HMRC to include company benefits for two different tax years in someone's tax code.
Perhaps you could give more details about how your tax code has been calculated as I suspect you may be mistaken about some things. The tax code on your last two payslips would be useful as well.0
