Anyone here use an Ikea Markus chair for gaming?

I need a new chair for gaming.  I get an occasional bad back so feel inclined to rule out the gaming chairs within my budget but was looking at the Ikea Markus chair as a compromise.  A fancy ergonomic chair is beyond my price range.

Does anyone use one for gaming and can comment?

Only way to know for sure is to go to the nearest Ikea - find the chair In store and try it out - spend at least 30min sat in it.
What suits one person may not suit you.
For chairs that you expect to use for a significant period of time per day ALWAYS try before you buy

Do come back and let us know what you went for, even though you might find something you like but not suitable for anyone else it would give posters other ideas.

Not everyone gets on well with mesh backs, so definitely try before you buy.

Thank you. My nearest Ikea with stock is an hour away in Birmingham so I'll probably take a drive there to try it out.   I used to have a mesh chair at work, it cost more than the Ikea version but was comfortable.   The other chair I like just based on looks is the Xrocker office/gaming chairs messina and sienna.  As you say though it's best not to buy blind, you have to try them out first.

If they don't have Markus, I find that Poang is always a good shout at Ikea. Surprisingly hardy as well.
