Has anyone used them? Are they any good? And brands you would recommend? What exactly do they do?
They seem to be the rage these days. The prices vary a lot though, some are a few quid (Aldi) and some are over the ten pound mark (Boots and Nip and Fab).

You need to use a high factor sunscreen if you use a glycolic acid, and you should really only use them at night. Don't combine with retinoids / retinol products (which also exfoliate, and need sunscreen)
I use a pad (one of the normal Nip / fab ones) once every couple of weeks or so as a bit of a brightening exfoliant. I've previously used the Pixi glow tonic liquid on cotton pads, which is similar, although the Nip/Fab is stronger (I'll probably go back to the pixi when I've finished up the pot of pads)
My sunscreen of choice is a Biore factor 50 which is imported from Japan.3
