Grant or loan for short course

Hi. My business collapsed under lockdown and I am looking to get back into employment. A change management course would really boost my CV but unfortunately I’m one of the 3 million who have had no income since March so need a grant or loan to cover the cost. Can’t find anything online.
I’m in Scotland and the course is £2,500.
Has anyone any suggestions? Thank you.

That's a huge amount of money to spend when there are many other highly reputable courses available at a much lower cost -

Is there anything so special/unique about the course you are looking at that would persuade a grant-awarding body that it was worth that sort of money? Remember that courses might help your cv, but they aren't the same thing as practical experience. Could you do a cheaper course plus some sort of volunteering which might really deliver an extra bit of sparkle to your cv.
Good luck.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Hi, here's a link to an article about that very thing that was posted on this actual site, updated a couple of months ago. With details for Scotland, too.

If that's not helpful, just use google! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Thanks. It’s the most recognised course. Others would be a waste of money I’m afraid. I already have years of experience in this area, the qualification would really help me stand out.Marcon said:That's a huge amount of money to spend when there are many other highly reputable courses available at a much lower cost -

Thank you. Yes, as I said I couldn’t find anything online. Had also found this article but nothing on it relates to what I’m looking for I’m afraid so thought I’d ask the question.MalMonroe said:Hi, here's a link to an article about that very thing that was posted on this actual site, updated a couple of months ago. Might not be of any use, but just in case any of these offer what you need at a lower cost (or in some cases free): https://www.reed.co.uk/courses/change-managementFionamccm said:
