Debt advice please !

Hi
Im in need of a little advice . Im currently about to go on maternity leave have just worked out my finances and its sent me into a bit of a panic!
Im currently paying off credit card debts £8000 , £5000 & £4000 roughly on each card . With my credit card repayments and mortgages and bills i will be left with not alot to live on. Im currently stuck between transferring part of my higher interest cards to a 0% interest credit card to hopefully keep payments down a bit or just go for a DMP . However im worried  that it will affect my credit score.
My partner and I are due some inheritance money would pay off these debts prior to babies arrival however due to covid everythings been slowed down and we have no specific date as to when this will go through. Now its getting closer its really stressing me out and im not really sure the best way to do this.

Any advice would be super helpful thanks !!!

Well first off ignore the meaningless credit score, your financies are whats important, not some old number no one ever see`s but you.
If you know the money will turn up, eventually, then you do have choices, if you absolutely can`t pay the cards, then don`t, I would not suggest this lightly, as there will be credit file implications, but they are all non priority debts, so why struggle when you don`t need too, you should be nice and calm and relaxed for when baby comes, not worrying about credit card bills.
You can if you wish make token payments to your creditors, they will understand your situation.
Babies, and children in general, are expencive little blighters, I have 3, so I should know, you must leave yourself with enough money to live on, its best if you make that your starting point, and work out what you need to do to maintain that position.
Mothers, especially first timers, can sometime be obsessed with the latest, most fancy pram, say for example, at over a grand, honestly don`t do it, after 6 months they will outgrow it, and thats money you`ll never get back, try and be realistic.
