Anyone getting a mortgage through Barclays?

I'm currently selling my property and my buyers are getting their mortgage through Barclays, its taken weeks (and weeks and weeks) and they have finally got a valuation survey booked in for early Sept. For anyone getting their mortgage through Barclays, how long has it taken to get from valuation survey through to mortgage offer assuming no issues?
I'm trying to buy a new build and the developers have now given me an ultimatum for exchange thats only a few days after the valuation survey so am trying to figure out if I can keep my hopes up or not.
