Hi all
I was approved subject to valuation by HSBC with the valuation taking place yesterday. Today I went on to the portal and it’s said unfortunately one of the rates selected is no longer available to continue my application I need to select another. I have tried to reach the MA at HSBC (I had to go direct as my broker could not get through as I am 90% LTV). Does this mean my application will need to be reassessed? Will this mean I have to start fro scratch. I’ve already paid for searches, surveys etc. as offer was accepted on 14 July and this has taken such a long time (broker trying; wait for appointment etc.). Can someone please help.

Thank you so much in advance.

Not usual to select a product once the application is in progress. The product is selected at the outset when the application is first submitted. Nor is it unusual for products to be withdrawn.

This is why I am confused... I was only waiting for the valuation to come back  :(
the interest rate I wanted is still showing as available. The status has changed from under review to in advice.

Crisis averted (so it seems) it appears this is standard when the valuation comes back (and that is why I didn’t get notification as it’s something the system just resolves). Basically it’s a lesson if you are a FTB to stop checking the portal every 10 mins and be patient.
I am just admitting to this here in case it comes up for someone else and they are worried like I was. Hope that helps.
