Halifax mortgage AIP whats chances of being approved (self employed)? 🤞🤞🤞

Options
Hi, we've had a nationwide mortgage declined so MA applied to halifax. Spoke to them first, explained that husband is self employed and we have some debts etc. He was adviced to proceed. AIP was accepted but they said as he is self employed it was automatically go to be reviewed by under writer. Has anyone been in similar position and been successful? How likely is actual mortgage be be approved if we have AIP? Desperatly hoping for a positive outcome!! The wait is awful

  • Does he have 3 years or more of accounts?  I recently remortgaged (both myself and my partner are self-employed) and it did take several months due to the self-employment as they do go through your business and personal accounts and outgoings with a fine-tooth comb.

I had an AIP accepted, and by looks of it a full app done yesterday as hard searches appeared on my account but not heard anything from him 😣

I’m trying not to panic from not hearing from my MA for a whole day thinking it would be simple as yes it’s ok! But don’t want to bother him either cause I’m impatient!

Peak of summer holidays and a bank holiday weekend approaching. Bound to be a slower turnaround. That's without the well documented delays that already exist.
