When is my debt staued barred

Hi I am in n Ireland and was wondering how long it is there before a debt becomes no longer enforceable and alps would anyone recommend stepchange to handle repayments thanks

I think the law on this is the same as in the rest of the UK so 6 years from default, provided you haven't acknowledged the debt by payment or in writing and the creditor has not started a court claim.0

Is there some sort of "lost in translation" going on here. Why would you ask SC to deal with repayments on a debt that is nearly statute barred?
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
