Bicycle Dash Cam

Hi MSEers. Can anyone recommend a decent (and decently priced) bicycle dash cam? I mostly ride in the day so while night use would be helpful it's probably the compromise I'm happiest to make.

I have a Garmin Virb, but it was quite expensive. I don’t know if you still get them. I know some people who have just ordered this. I don’t know how good they are.

1) When you plug into your computer either to charge it or look at footage, it resets the date which is stored on a text file on the SD card back to 2017 so you have to manually set it every time.
2) It sometimes has a weird habit of recording odd times like I set it correctly and then it starts saying I cycled home from work at like 3am or something stupid, I don't know why and can't replicate it reliably
3) When I first got it, after charging you just unplug the cable, set the switch from data to loop recording and away you go, now the red light stays on and doesn't respond until you take the battery out and put it back in
None of that is really anything more than a minor annoyance and the footage is perfectly useable in daylight, at night you would struggle to read number plates unless you had the camera pointing at them and car stays still, if they go by at speed you have no chance, but then again, you would need to spend a lot for a Virb or Go Pro type to get really good night vision. In terms of proving a fault it does the job fine. It has mount for helmet (please don't repeat the myth about Schumacher and helmet cams, besides which it's velcro so detaches easily) or bike handlebars and it's waterproof with the sealed back case, or water resistant with the one with the microphone slots2 -
I got a pair of Polaroid Cube 1080p action cameras. They were £38 each from Argos a few years ago. Woah -- bit expensive on Amazon at the moment, though:I got the bike mounts separately -- one attaches to the handlebars, and the other to the saddle rails. They use the same mount-type as Go-Pro, so there are plenty to choose from. The only thing that isn't ideal is the battery life. You get 90 minutes max. in warm weather, and closer to 70 minutes when its cold. However, I strapped a tiny USB battery pack (that I got from Robert Dyas for £4.99) to the frame, and connected that to the cameras. Now I can record video for hours on end! There is a "timestamp" feature, but you have to set the time manually, and the internal clock isn't very accurate.1

I usually ride wearing a pair of these glasses, moderate tint so OK even if not very bright day, keeps bugs out your eyes, polarised - discrete camera and recorder built in, people are not even aware your recording and it films whatever you see. Only downer is same as Farfetch above has, date and time is defaulted each time restarted and has to be set by a PC. My solution to this is to manually edit the file to 01:01:01 2030 for example (so its clear its not old footage if used as evidence) and then if you set the file as read only on the card the camera can't reset it and has to start each time from this setting. Also doesn't overwrite old files, need to plug in a pc and erase the SD card. Only other issue is if you think you might be catching something significant is to try to remember to try and keep your head steady and pointing at the action.
In moderate light it does take a decent picture and its one less extra thing to pack as I need glasses anyway to keep bugs out my eyes anyway.
