Hi, not sure if this is the right forum but I'm looking for any insights on re-covering a peeling faux leather bag. The structure and functionality is still in great shape but the actual covering is peeling and large sections have come off. Its no longer available to buy so I cannot get a replacement and I thought I'd give covering it a go. Has anyone done this with one of their faux leather bags? to make do and mend:) Actually, I really love the bag so if I can get further use from it I'm happy to give it a go.
I've seen some YT videos but they were for sturdy leather bags and they used shoemakers gum. I wondered if mod podge fabric might work? 
Any and all information is greatly received, thank you.
