We're obviously all very law abiding here
Tho I have to admit going through on the amber once in a while...I think I'm chancing it and then look in the mirror and see perhaps two cars coming through behind me :eek:0 -

Marvellous - so i can continue jumping lights to my hearts content outside of the city. :rotfl:0 -
The habit of running red lights is, from what I've observed, related to the amount of traffic on the roads. More traffic = more impatient drivers = more red lights jumped etc. This was common practice in Dublin for years before I noticed it here.Stercus accidit0

I regularly drive around these areas and it is terrifying the number of drivers who drive through those lights. They aren't just in 30 mph zones but the junctions where M3, M2 and Westlink meet and people are flying through red lights at 70/80 MPH. Accidents are not being avoided solely through the delay in the other lights turning green but because the other drivers are slamming on their breaks trying to not hit the suicidal idiots. I'm not saying slow down on a green light but be prepared to stop. If you want to kill yourself do it, don't go out on the road and take others with you.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0
