Sorry to be a pain but I’ve an urgent query that I need help with tonight.
Ive a mortgage offer agreed and I am due to meet the solicitor in person for the first time tomorrow. They have already sent us a few letters as we have kept in touch via the phone. What I am looking to know is what documents do I need to bring tomorrow to our meeting? I forgot to ask on the phone today when booking and can’t phone tomorrow as I need to get the documents ready tonight. Thanks in advance

ID - One photo ID and one address ID, passport plus driving licence works. Alternatively utility bill for address proof.
6 months wage slips.
You’ll likely to be asked to fill in a form about source of income for the deposit. I.e X amount is from saving and Y amount is gifted from family etc. So have that information ready.
Mortgage offer letter.
Contact details of seller solicitor and their reference number.
Finally the first thing the solicitor want is the draft contract pack from the seller. I doubt you’d have it as it’s usually something request from solicitor to solicitor. But if you do bring it as it may fast track a few days of waiting.1 -
Many thanks for your reply.
Its been a long drawn out process so far and I know that the sellers solicitor has already requested information a few times so the solicitors have been in contact. Anything else I need to know?0 -
If they needed you to bring anything specific, they'd have told you, surely? But it would do no harm to bring the stuff mentioned above.
