Getting spammed after misleading page?

Hi,
I recently clicked on a website and applied for a loan, and now I'm getting several texts a day.
The website has in big clear letters "Short terms loans, direct lender" at the top of the page, it's only if you you read other parts of the site it states that they're also a broker. Should this not be on the front page where it states that they're a direct lender?

What's my best course of action to get these to stop?

Thanks

Contact them and ask them to remove you from marketing comms.
  • Block them.

I'd be checking your bank account pretty sharpish if I were you, in case the broker has tried to charge you for using their "services"
  • Contacted them via Web portal/email didn't hear anything back, I do have a call blocker in place, just recently changed the settings.
Logged in to my bank account and there was a direct debit for buyvia.co.uk which I've cancelled and will be calling my bank to check everything.
  • And they'll try to take the payment, it'll fail, and they could mark that as a late payment etc.
Do follow it up with the company just to pre-empt any further trouble.

You say recently but how recent ?
Why are you looking for a loan ?

You need to look at your spending and cut back.

As you have found out, a fee will be charged by the broker to find you a loan possibly with a high Apr.
