Battery Storage G98 compliance

I installed a Victron Multiplus 48V/1200VA with LiIon battery (14s2p configuration, repurposed cells - roughly 4.3KW). I have added a Venus GX and Energy meter(which is needed to get this working as an Energy Storage System). I have some critical load which needs to run 24x7 and the Multiplus inverter charger with its AC passthrough and UPS function works really well.
For the time being, i'm planning to just use Economy 7 to charge - but will be getting it hooked up to the Solar output. I already have a 3.5KWp solar panel (enphase microinverters)- since 2015. Reading through the various regulations, it looks like the maximum generation allowed is 16A for a single phase.
Does any one know - if these/any Battery Storage system should be communicated to DNO and have to be G98/ G99 compliant? I got the impression that any battery systems are classified as Micro energy generations.

Hiya. Yes the DNO has to be told about the battery as it has the potential to export, even if you don't want it to as it is grid connected and has the potential (as you say) to be a micro generation - SSEG (small scale electricity generation). My application for V2G was turned down by the DNO as they had to add that export potential to my PV export potential, and I was told the same applies to a stationary battery, unless the kit is G99 (I think) compliant with the ability to limit export to an agreed max even if something goes wrong.
BTW 3.68kW is the maximum allowed without permission, so you can ask for more, I have permission for 5.9kW (the sum of my inverters).Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Heard back from DNO - it has to be G99. Let me peruse over this. Thinking of moving home soonish, likely do this after.“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu
